Features of universal R-point needles

R (Normal Round Point) is a standard needle point with a slim, conical shape. It is a versatile point for sewing a variety of woven fabrics and suitable technical materials.

For SCHMETZ standard R points, the additional letter R is usually not included in the system designation. Therefore, DCx27 and B-27 without an additional point designation indicate the standard round-point version.

Unlike cutting points, the R point is not designed to make special cuts in leather. For delicate knits, choose needles with a suitably rounded ball point when needed.
