Cotton knit fabric (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane in its composition.

One side of the fabric is smooth, while the other side has a small looped texture, which adds extra comfort and warmth.

This fabric is ideal for sportswear, casual outfits, hats, sweaters, pants, and children's clothing.

Loopback knit is breathable and ensures natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough stretch for comfortable everyday wear.

Sewing tips:

When sewing with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the knit is very stretchy, then it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretchy fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip, allowing them to glide easily between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the thickness of the fabric, but for cotton knit, commonly suitable sizes are 70/10 or 80/12.
