How do you sew cotton jersey?

When sewing stretchy knit fabric, it is recommended to use a Jersey or Stretch sewing machine needle. For thinner and medium-weight jersey, a size 70/10 or 80/12 needle is usually suitable.

Use a stretch stitch, narrow zigzag stitch, or an overlock seam so the seam can stretch with the fabric and not break when worn.

Before sewing, it is recommended to wash cotton jersey according to the care instructions for the specific fabric, as natural cotton fibers may shrink slightly after the first wash.
