Cotton knit fleece (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane in the composition.

 On one side the fabric is smooth, while on the other side it has a small looped texture, which adds extra comfort and warmth.

Sewing tips:

When sewing with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles ; if the knit is very stretchy, it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretchy fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip, allowing them to glide easily between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the fabric thickness, but for cotton knit, commonly suitable sizes are 70/10 or 80/12.
